My horse had choke tonight, lasted only about 45 minutes and grazing away happily now. I've spoken to the vet and he said once it's passed just go on as normal, fine to feed tonight and ride tomorrow.

I would normally think you should give a horse a day or two off riding and hard feed after choke, so wondering what do others do?

He should be fine to carry on as normal. My horse wasn't so lucky when he had choke and ended up being tubed so I was advised to leave him a week.

Hi, take your cue from your horse, if he seems happy then ride, it sounds as if he was lucky and only had a short bout with no complications. I have only had serious bouts where horses were tubed and very sore and sorry for themselves for a while.

As for feeding, I would feed wet food for a while.

My vet told me the oesophagus sometimes constricts slightly after a choke so grass is the best food followed by soaked hay. I don't know about the exercise question but as others say I would go by the horse and if he seems fine then perhaps go for something gentle for a day or two.
