Feeding BOSS - how much?

Weight of the BOSS to feed per day, to a medium weight 16.2hh WB?

Ifeed my 16hh tb and my 15hh cob 1 mug a day each.

For a horse that size, I'd say about 1lb per day. You don't need an awful lot to be honest for it to make a difference.

My 16.2 clyde - about 700 k and 15.1 gypsy cob - just over 500 k get a 1/2 pint coffee mug of BOSS twice a day. They also get the same amount of instant linseed.

This gives them both omega 6 and 3 oils which compliment each other very well as part of my feed system - I only use Simple Systems alfa and grass chaffs.

Thanks again to Tia for the BOSS tip - made a huge difference to my lot with both feet and dark glossy coats.

Many thanks for the posts! I'm already feeding micronised linseed with super results. Not fed BOSS before, so it will be a new experience for both me and the horse

I am already viewed as "weird" for feeding linseed meal and using a feed balancer - so goodness knows what everyone on the yard is going to think when I start adding cups of "bird food" to his feeds as well, now! LOL.
