Please can anyone help. I am sure I read a post on here where someone fed charcoal to their horse and it helped reduce a gassy belly.

My mare has gone ont o very long grass and my other two are absolutely fine but she looks like she is having triplets :( She is not fat and I am always very careful on weight issues but she is all wind.

I would love to know more about feeding charcoal, how much and where to get it from. I googled it but nothing came up :(

Any advice on gassy bellies appreciated.

I have not fed Charcoal myself but this advert was in H&H last week. Happy Tummy Charcoal from www.finefettlefeed.com
They are doing a special offer until 12th September.
I did think about buying some as one of mine has been diagnosed with Arsenic poisoning and I wondered if it would clear the toxins out. Howver my OH who is a doctor says not as it will be in the horses hair etc.
I also wonder knowing what fussy devils they can be if they would eat it:( !!
Hope this helps you and your gassy mare :)
