Feeding Chubb raw food.

Just bought some different raw food for Meg. It comes in a 1.4kg Chubb. I had to defrost then divide it up as she doesn’t need that much on one day. Anyone got any tips on doing this. Kitzchem looked and felt like a butchers shop when I’d finished! Messy!!

Is it plastic wrapped? Can you slice into rounds using a sharp knife?

Agree, that's what I do - defrost them just enough to be able to slice them up (I leave the plastic on) into whatever portion sizes I want, then back into the freezer with them.

One last question. Best storage solution while defrosting? Currently in Dodson and horrell tub in fridge!

I used to have a plastic tub with a lid. Id slice the packaging open and leave it to defrost in the tub. Then when defrosted I'd take it out of the packet. I used to do a fe packets at a time and it lasted 3 or 4 days with no issues and no mess.
