Feeding Eggs!

Just a thought. I have loads of eggs as the chickens have gone mad. Can I feed these to horses/ponies.

I put a question on stable yard a few days ago if you want to check it out.I haven't fed them yet as don't want to change diet this week as lots of competitions but will be trying next week

Arkle used to have half a dozen eggs and Guinness in his evening feed . . . . never did him any harm! LOL

Yep, totally fine. I give my boy an egg a day. I believe lots of hunting & show yards used to and perhaps still do. Makes for a good coat!

Although does have the cod liver oil debate - should you be feeding an animal product to a vegetarian animal?

have also heard that egg white is good for keeping a dapple grey from fading , never tried it as dont have one but heard it from one of those people who has been doing horses since before i was born and that was a while back
