Feeding for a horse that's a bit too well behaved!

Hiya, I'm looking for ideas for a feed just to give him that bit of spark, he's not slow or stuffy but he's just really laid back and almost a bit too well behaved if that makes sense? I just want to give him a little bit of 'edge' but he's also looking well at the moment and I don't want anything that will make him a bit porky! He's currently ridden every day (well apart from in the recent blizzards) and not on any hard feed, just haylage.

My sister has one of those (welsh cob crossed with some kind of tank/steam train type vehicle) so I'm good thanks! Haha!

As he is only being fed haylage and no hard feed he may be short of vitamins and minerals so it might be worth giving him a low calorie balancer.
