Feeding for approx. 2 year old filly

Hello everyone, I would like some help!

I rescued a gypsy cob at the start of this year, she has come on leaps and bounds already and growing at a tremendous rate. But I am just unsure of the most optimum feed to aid healthy and strong growth.
At the moment she is on fast fibre and chaff fed once a day when she comes in, in the afternoon.
I'm sure this is doing okay, but I want the best for her.

All of this youngster business is so new to me, as the youngest I have ever cared for was seven years old!!

Gypsy cobs (and most other horses) grow up very satisfactorily without any intervention from the feed companies. You can do more harm than good introducing hard feed to a cob/native type who is designed to do well on very little
 
Especially at her young age. So many people make the mistake of over-doing young cold blooded horses, feeding them like blood horses, and ending up with physical problems. They really are designed to do well on what nature provides, and too much hard feed can cause more problems than it solves
 
Forage, forage, and more forage .... Don't worry if she looks a bit lean/shapeless at this time of year, keep her light on her joints as she grows, and let the spring grass fill her out. She will keep on shooting up.
 
Be expedition careful if you think she has been neglected/starved. I bought a 4 yr old who had been in poor condition and then fed up to a good weight too quickly with concentrates. In later life she had to be fed a very restricted diet as she had developed sensitivity to cereals and sugar,
