Just in case it helps anyone!
Fig has suffered really badly this year. He did 2 months on gastrogard and it made no difference. His weight was at an all time low.
He's now on sucralfate and looks incredible.
His diet has gone from winergy condition / fibre based to cereal based / slobbermash. Again, he looks incredible.
Looking at the nutritional breakdown I was mildly terrified in consideration of his feet. Butttt no problems. He hacks jumps work on grass and surfaces. Just this weekend he hacked out for 2 hours no problems.
It thankfully hasn't fizzed him up at all and I feed linseed and soaked rolled oats in addition. I used readigrass for chaff/extra fibre.
So if anyone was wondering whether slobbermash might be worth a shot, it truly gets my vote!!!
