Any thoughts? I know its a bit of an old horsemans remedy, to be fed as a remedy for brittle hooves, does anyone do it?
I know its an animal derivative but frankly my last horse looked amazing on Codlivine!
My horse is on super light work for 6 +months as he has tears in his DDFT, and my BFs mum said that when she tore her achilles that the doctor recommended she use gelatine (pill form I think) to help repair it, and that the recovery time was somewhat reduced.
Also I cant find the book I read it in, so have no idea how to feed it! Someone I know feeds a square of jelly a day, but I was thinking more along the lines of something less strawberry flavoured!
Ideas on a postcard - am heading to Sainsburys in a bit !
