I've heard that feeding ginger and frankincense is good for arthritis. Does anyone have anyone experience of this and could you advise on dosage?

Thanks!

Frankincense is otherwise known as boswellia serrata and is in the joint supplement I feed my old hunter - Day Son & Hewitt Feel Good 30 Joint &Relief. It says it has 10%w/w in it, together with 15% glucosamine and 10% MSM fed at a rate of 40g/day. ..... so am I right in thinking 10% of 40g? Doesn't seem very much!

It says on the tub that boswellia can help soothe swollen joints, aiding the distribution of fluid from swollen areas

Does that help?

Don't know about ginger though... will be interested to see if anyone else does

I know ginger is very good for the immune system and digestion, not sure about joints.

Stinky loves having a ginger nut or three when my niece feeds them to him - not sure if that counts as a supplement

I dont feed Ginger but do feed Boswellia, (well i would do if i could get my bloomin order through been waiting since September)!!!

The rate i feed depends on on the actual strenth (purity) of the Boswellia. My last load i fed at 20grm a day to my TB who is around 520kg. Its brilliant stuff for arthritic one's.
