Feeding help please

My friends got 12hh pony shes asked me 4 sum help, ahh
shes happy wit his weight right now, (he can get fat) he is currently just on grass, native pony! erm shes started competing and feels he needs more energy but nothing too heating, wat do u recomend?

Wait till he is fitter and if she still thinks he needs something, try some H&P nuts or a vit & Min supp. in a small bit of chaff. My 15.3hh Cob does 12 mile sponsored rides, Hunter trials and dressage and still gets fed no hard feed (in fact is on restricted grazing and soaked hay). I do give her a Vit & Mineral supplement in a handful of chaff (but that is it)!!!!
