Good morning,I'm looking for some help and advice from all you lovely people. My boy is starting to look a little lighter then I would like going into the colder months and I hoped people may have some recommendations on possible foods that may suit him and his requirements. He is a 16.1hh KWPN, 14 years old currently competing at BE90/100, working approx 5 days p/week. He is normally a fairly good doer but due to the grass not being great here now he is looking a little bit lighter then I would like going into winter. He is currently turned out at night (6pm-7am) then fed 2x a day on 1 x stubbs scoop of molichop and 3/4 scoop of D&H Pasture Mix (+ NAF Superflex) in each feed. Plus haylege nets when he is in. I am thinking on putting him back onto Speedi-beet and maybe something like Baileys Performance Balancer which I have previously had him on and really rated, but my YO suggested grass-nuts - which doesn't seem a bad idea especially as he won't being getting turned out much at all once the wet weather arrives. But at approx £7 a bag, is there something dreaduful I am missing? I am aware that they have to be soaked for a fair old while, but is that it? Thanks all for the help? All advice/ suggestions greatfully recieved!

Grass pellets and unmolassed sugar beet worked a treat for my old boy last winter. I soak them overnight, so they're nice and sloppy. Have used Northern Crop Driers and Argo own brand, both great.

Also no harm in feeding some Micronised Linseed! Although its £18 a bag, I probably only buy a bag once every three months!
