Feeding - Is this ok??

A friend of mine feeds her pony two different feeds a day.

Morning he gets chaff and sugarbeet and at night he gets mix and sugarbeet. is it ok to feed different like this or will it harm their digestion???

Can’t see why that’s a problem as long as the horse is use to it and it was introduced slowly. Ru (GinaGem’s ned) gets mix and alfa-a oil in the morn and just alfa-a oil in the evening and he is absolutely fine.

I'm no expert though!
