Hi all I recently read that feeding limestone to horses in joint I.e hocks and knees can actually be beneficial to horses and ponies, helping prevent further breakdown of the joint?? I know people feed it for splints etc but I just wanted to query this and see what you guys think?

Is this true or is it another one of these urban myths?

I know global herbs claim that there strong one is meant to be better than limestone, only thing is you don't know what's in them!

no idea but I will be interested to hear what others say.....given my answer to the question elsewhwere about arthriits and this cold snap!

My boy is on VetVits glucosamine and MSN - dont know if its helping since all he does is mooch around the field at the moment.

Yes me too, I would be very interested to see what people say. It would be good if it does work as it would be cheap to feed alongside my other products. I was just interested to see what others say :)
