Feeding my young horse

If he is a warmblood x he is probably a good doer and slow growing. Don't over feed him. My ID x is 2 in may and gets hay/grass and a mineral lick and looks fab.

He's just having a scoop of happy hoof when the others get fed, he is normally a good doer but the grass isn't the best with all this weather so it's just until the grass grows back:)

My 9 month Warmblood is fed a cup of suregrow balancer in the evening and a handful of chaff in the morning (as other youngster fed twice a day - just gives mine something to do).

We have no grass ATM so on top of his feed he is on a two slice hay net for the day (to share with fellow youngster) and then at night we put two haynets (both have 2 slices of hay in) up in the shelter for them.

That's all he's on and he's doing fine, I wouldn't say he's overly well covered but he has enough on him for now. He's been on that all winter:).

Another vote for Suregrow. That's all mine has apart from mag ox, plus hay and grass. He's a very large WB and I don't want him fat. He looks good on it and has fantastic hoof quality.
