Feeding query - those who feed once a day (dont read if delicate or eating...)

For some unknown reason I have decided today to swap from feeding my dogs twice a day to once a day, their feeding time will be in the evening.

At the moment my dogs 'go' twice a day - will they still do this if they are only fed once a day? I am thinking that feeding them in the evening would mean they only go once a day in the morning?

Just wondering really, thanks :)
 
They will more than likely **** on a morning when they get up like mine and last **** of the day, but then again I dont get much **** and have 9 dogs, some of mine **** twice daily but I think most actually do it once, the rott and whips def do it once.

I have the sh!ts....random but true:eek::D
 
Trust you when I was trying to be all delicate and tasteful for those more sensitive HHOers out there :p

Oh well, I suppose time will tell really :D
 
I know people who switched from twice a day to once for this reason and the poo levels did indeed go down!
I have definitely seen a difference comparing our own dogs to previous ones we have had and they never seem to be done dropping!
 
Mind you the quantities I will be feeding in the evening seem enormous, so I cant really imagine there will be much reduction in output volume :o

All this just because I forgot to feed them before I went riding this morning....they did get a small brunch, and will do so for another week or so before they swap solely to once a day :)
 
Mine get one meal a day in the morning around 9.30 - 10ish after I have done the neds. The only reason for this is my first rott was extremely disinterested in food and was more likely to eat a full meal then. It has just stuck and all mine do well on that routine.
They tend to "go" twice. Am and late Pm.
However, they do get a snack ie a chew of some description around 5ish and a couple of doggy bics at bedtime.
 
Both mine are fed once a day, and go several times a day,usually late evening, in the morning and afternoon
 
Mine are on once a day but raw so there is less of it (S**t) and once a day. It's more natural for them once a day and would think it would suit the "Hounds" as they do like to pig out and sleep for hours under a blanket preferably! That's what they would do in the wild hunt something pig out and sleep until hungry again!
 
Was going to ask if you would be reducing amount of food or lumping brekkie and dinner together, but think you answered that.

I would imagine they will still go roughly twice a day but mine are fed twice and go 3 times.

If I had as many as Cayla to feed I would def be a once a day girl too! :D
