I have a 14.2 part bred connemara hunting mare, currently fed on half large scoop Quiet mix and half large scoop hifi chaff.

She is generally feeling like she needs more energy, and is worked approx 3 times (1hr) in the week and hunts all day Saturday, and does a bit on sundays.

She also has very poor coat quality, its scratchy and grows very slowly. Have tried a general health supplement before which I was told would help her coat with extra vitamins, but didn't really work.

She never has a problem with putting on weight, despite native ponyness, if anything she gets a little skinny.

Thinking maybe some sort of oil for her coat? And a higher energy mix? Any reccomendations?

I would look at Top Spec Condition Flakes or one of the high oil content slow release mixes on the market. You need sustained energy for hunting and something oily will give her that plus may help her skin and coat condition.

Definitely sounds like she could do with some oil in her diet! There are many ways you can do this. I just add straight vegetable oil to the food, but some horses can be a bit fussy about it. Other options are an oil-enhanced chaff (Alfa A Oil or Spiller's Conditioning Fibre) or a commercial oil-rich feed such as Outshine, CoolStance (Copra) or Equijewel.

I would definitely change the HiFi to another chaff. Either AlfaA Oil or Conditioning Fibre, or if you are feeding oil in another form, then opt for Alfa A Original instead. The alfafa will add extra protein and other nutrients to her diet.

You may find if you change the chaff and add some oil to the diet you may not actually need to change the mix as well.

I would go to the professionals to get advise on the feed required to sustain your pony with her workload. Go to any of the websites for Dodson & Horrell, Spillers, Baileys etc & they will have a telephone number or email address. They answer the problems they receive quite quickly & you will get qualioty advice from any of these companies.
