Was the colic feed related?

Have just put my colic prone horse on to Spillers Slow Response cubes. Not as calorific as Calm and Condition but free from cereals, low starch and high in oil and fibre. She loves them and looks amazing!

Speedibeet is another option. With the same calorie content as Calm and Condition but no starch and only 5% sugar.

I would also recommend a good probiotic. I swear by Pink Powder. I use this on my girl whenever there is stress to her system. ie colic, worming etc.

As your horse has experienced colic, remember to make all changes gradually.
