Just a question if you soak sugar beet molassed pellets does the soaking remove the molasses??? My boys on speedibeet which is unmolassed but i wondered could you soak th pellets remove molasses?? It just works out a lot cheaper for me if you can as i have two on speedibeet unmolassed and an oldie who needs full fat molassed beet?

soaking doesn't remove the molasses unless you then wash the soaked beet and drain it to let the molasses run off.
I use sugar beet and wash it to remove the molasses as it is so much cheaper than speedibeet.
If you are going to do this then soak half the normal quantity of sugar beet as this gives it chance for more of the molasses to come out in the water (ie soak 2 sloppy buckets rather than your normal one bucket)
When it has soaked then pour it through a sieve to drain it, then put it back in the bucket and fill with water and repeat a couple of times. This gets the maximum molasses out. Obviously rinse it less if you are happy to leave some molasses in.
