Hi everyone,
Wondered if anyone has had any experience with feeding sulphur to their horses?
I have read up about it on the internet and it looks as though it is not harmful to them.
Its my cob has a skin allergy (or so we think it is). The vet has tested for everything, fungal, bacterial etc. All results came back negative for everything.
I am now waiting results form a blood test to see if she has cushions disease but I am finding this highly unlikely.
The vets next step is to put her onto steriod treatment for her "allergy" but I am cautious as she is 20 this year and worried about the high blood pressure and laminitus that steriod treatment can give horses.
Just wanted some opinions on all of this??
Many thanks for reading!

Yes, I did, years ago. A homeopath gave me sulphur tablets for my mare for a skin complaint that the vet was having no luck with.
I think I had to give them 6 times a day for the first few days but after a couple of days I stopped as the horse turned into a fire breathing dragon. Completely out of character.
Don't know if it was coincidence, but I stopped the tablets and she calmed down.
May have been a fluke, I never did find out for sure.

My sensitive TB came up in lumps the other week but we havnt got a clue what from! I gave him 3 homeopathic tablets twice a day of Sulphur and Apas Mal from Equss Health and the lumps were gone in 2 days!! I highly recomend them

Thankyou all so much for your help.
Think I am going to try the sulphur to see if it has any effect on my mare.
Again much the same I have had skin tested and blood tested and the vets cannot find nothing at all!
Will try and get some of the Equus sulphur as it has been reccomended.
Thankyou so much!! :D
