I have posted recently about my nutty mare and headshaking. After much internet research I am now trying a few things to resolve the issue.

She is out 24/7 on not so great grazing that is rotated with cattle. I want to feed a magnesium supplement and brewer's yeast. I have ordered some calmag and want to introduce it asap as there is loads of spring grass which is when they need it most. The only problem is that she is not interested in her feed AT ALL at the moment due to afore mentioned yummy grass so i don't know how I can get it down her.

Answers on a postcard please

We have a horse at our yard that won't eat supplements in feeds. YO cut the end off a wormer syringge and now adds the supplements to a bit of yoghurt and syringes it in. Works a treat

You can pop things inside carrots and apples, by hollowing out part. If it is very nasty tasting tho they may get wise to it. You could alos throw some carrots in the feed bucket to tempt.

cut an apple in half then cut the middle out put the pieces back in and the to half apples together give the apple no probs. Thats how i give my horse bute when he needs it or a nice honey sandwich!
