Feeding tb's

Poor doer, really fussy.

Out on good grass all day, in at night with more haylage than he ever eats.

3 feeds a day:

3 scoops saracens releve
2 mugs micronised linseed
50ml fenugreek powder
1 scoop 50:50 mollichop conditioning:alfalfa

+ mag ox for his barefoot tootsies and his silly brain and suppleaze gold for his joints.

I really am very jealous of the people who have to feed theirs practically nothing!!!!

4 stubbs scoops Dengie healthy tummy
2 " " Top Spec grass
1/2 " " Top Spec fibre plus pellets
1 mug Top Spec Lite balancer
2 mugs micronised linseed
50ml coligone
All split over 4 feeds a day in the Winter, and the quantities are halved in the Summer (purse is grateful!)
Plus ad lib hay and haylage too!

Looks good, behaves well (mostly ;-)) and loves the food which is very different from the skinny horse who wouldnt eat anything at first.

This is very similar to my other horse, hes not TB (ISH) but really fussy and very hard to keep weight on. He just about manages with 2 feeds a day (although not at all fat) with Brewers yeast and no fenugreek powder. And instead of mollichop/ alfalfa he has a 1.5 scoops of speedibeet with 1 scoop Saracens releve, plus 2 cups linseed and suppleaze gold.
