Hi there I am after some advice on feeding my 33 year old welshie. Currently he gets unlimited hay which he picks as he pleases. Then split into 2 feeds he has the following:

3 scoops spillers conditioning fibre
4 scoops of sugar beet
1 scoop of grass nuts
2 un soaked scoops of vet vitality which is then soaked and 1 scoop of mollichaff is added

He also has cod liver oil, micronised linseed and garlic

Is this enough or would you change something?

That is far too much to give in just 2 feeds if he eats it in one go rather than picking at it for hours as it will get pushed through too quickly so he will not benefit from the nutritional value, he probably requires more quality given in 4 smaller feeds and could have the high fibre to browse on the rest of the time.
I would give him the veteran vitality and linseed split into at least 2 ideally 4 feeds and the rest separately in a big tub so he can pick at it, he may find it easier than hay, it is mainly fibre so a form of forage replacement, if you cut out the useless molichaff, high sugar poor quality fibre, and replace with more grassnuts it should help and also stop the garlic as that can upset the gut flora and cause weight loss.

It does sound like a lot of food for 2 feeds
I would invest in a proper 1kg scoop

I wouldn’t want to comment as i dont know hia routine / living arrangements
But if you can level out his feed volume I would suggest equijewel rice bran - it’s quute good for older (or any horse) to help get some weight on

My best advice would be to email nutritional experts at spiller or Baileys feed
