Hi all,
I want to feed turmeric for my horses joints and skin. I am aware you need to feed it with oil as it doesn’t dissolve in water but how do I do this? Do I put the powder in oil first or just add oil and powder to feed? Can it be soaked overnight? He gets fed mash which needs soaked for a few hours.
Thanks!

It is so much easier to use a ready to use turmeric. I really like Equine America Xtra. Someone has given me some NAF turmeric but it is very fine and gets everywhere. I will go back to Equine America’s when it’s finished

I used to mix it with flax oil but it is very messy. Much easier to buy one of the branded supplements and feed mixed into the feed as it is. I just chuck a scoopful into the feed, stir and serve up!
