Feeding Yearlings

all winter I fed my weanling spillers stud mix now the grass is coming what would you feed? I am worried about OCD but the nutritionalist said the feed is formulated for youngstock so should not be an issue. I hope she is right. I have since found out about Winergy and am very unhappy as if I'd known i would have fed the colt on this. Anyway, back to the present, the grass is comming through, should I put him just on hay and caff and balancer with 24 hr turnout????????????? its a mine field of info,and all the feed companies just say use their product.

If you have good grazing...just leave them, mug of balancer if you want to or a field lick.

I think nowadays we do too much with the young stock, feed them allsorts when we have al managed for years with our babies eating grass and hay.

I was feeding sure grow + foal mix oil and a tiny bit of HiFi lite to my 8mth old he's now out 24/7 amd just comes in once each day for handling and a scoop of suregrow + oil
