Has anyone tried this? Horse no.2 went barefoot 4 weeks ago, and I was toying with the idea of adding micronised linseed her diet, when I came across Barefoot Formula on the Feedmark website. It looks like it has some other wonder ingredients in it too. I've nearly run out of my sack of Formula 4 Feet, so wondered whether to give it a go.
The website says it contains the following:
Micronised Linseed: a rich source of proteins and omega-3 essential fatty acids that are essential for maintenance of cellular complexes within the hoof tissues
Brewer's Yeast: a natural probiotic that also supplies minerals and B vitamin, including Biotin, that help to balance the diet and maintain a healthy hindgut environment
Seaweed: a source of minerals essential for the formation of enzymes that are necessary for normal metabolism and growth of hoof structures
Rosehips: a herb with antioxidant and soothing properties that also helps to reduce swelling and soreness
Magnesium Oxide: an essential mineral for healthy hoof tissue that also supports normal insulin function
Any feedback appreciated.
