Feel awful, just ran over a rabbit

Please come and drive around my paddocks, with big wheels!! It's like watership down here just now and the damn things are wrecking things so much I can't ride in there now!!
 
I keep killing birds. :( I've never hit anything until April this year and now I've killed at least six birds. Feel really awful about it but they keep flying into the car.

I'm sure the rabbit didn't suffer or know anything about it.
 
I know its just one of those things, but feel guilty! I dont think he would have known much about it but still. Poor little thing
 
The husband had a call from his cousin to kindly down a deer that he'd hit on the country lanes. Husband obliged and put it into the boot hoping for venison for tea for the next few days, unfortunately after a few hours in a warm car, said deer wasn't looking too clever from a meat point of view. Gutted.

I hate hitting animals in the car but I do think most bunnies have suicidal tendencies :(
 
I killed a barn owl a few years back. I think it had already been injured as it was just sat in the middle of the road, it turned to look at me as I hit it. It was dark and it was sat just over the brow of the hill so there was no way of avoiding it. I felt awful. I got out the car to check it was dead and burst into tears!
