Both are cardinal sins - more so than kicking another horse - and the offending horse would be expected to receive a good hiding.
Feel awful - my horse kicked my friend's dog and broke its leg:(

Poor dog, I hope it makes a full recovery! I would not hold you responsible either but I think it is nice of you to offer in the interests of friendship. Sometimes you've got to do the right thing even if the law says you dont have to.
I keep my dog on a lead and on the right side of the fence around the horses, I would like to have him wonder around while I poo pick but he needs to be really excellent obedience wise before I let that happen.
