Well, we had another horse vetted yesterday- very efficient vet from Tyrrells (thanks for the recommendations HHo). He stopped it after the trotup saying horse had irregular heartbeat and was 1/10th lame in BOTH forelegs

Really liked the horse but already have a selection of lame horses

And the horse we loved that failed flexion has been xrayed to find " non articular low ringbone with changes as far as the coffin joint" we offered companion money as we really liked the horse and my cob has exactly the same condition so i am used to managing it but they still want £££

Give me a few days and i am sure i will be perusing the ads again

Aggh, its so heatbreaking when you think you have found THE ONE. The only good thing is at least you know about it before buying and not after

It's a nightmare isn't it - when i was looking for my last horse i had 1 on trial but decided he wasn't 100% so he went back. next one failed the vetting because of serious goings on in his back legs (he was only 5 bless him). next one failed because of a dodgy ticker - he had a heart test done after this and was deemed unrideable. i really wanted a horse as i had lost my mare to colic after 14 years with her and was a mess without a horse in the field. horse i ended up with didn't have a vetting because i was assured he'd passed one only months earlier. stupid i know, well i have learned from my mistake - he has some virus or something now that i can't get to the bottom of. sooo i know what it's like! keep on trying and best of luck!!

Thats really bad luck.In the long run its the best thing having a horse with major problems is more traumatic. We had one vetted last week and I was so worried but fortunately she passed. If I had done it with my horse I could have a lot more money to spend or in the bank. The right one will turn up.

Don't worry hun, that's what you pay your vet for, to save you forking out loads of cash and ending up with another unrideable horse that you can't sell!
It took me over 9 months and 35 potential viewings to find my current ned.
I was nearly going insane by the end of that time, convinced I was a conformation defect magnet.
You will find a decent horse sometime, just be patient.
