After my previous thread about having to sell my gelding due to my pregnancy. he is being collected on Sunday :(. I know he will be fine as he is going to his previous owner and he will be much happier turned out with her pony but I am just feeling gutted today.

I am not sure if I can even watch him go and then I'll have to pack up all my stuff and clear his stable etc. all I want to do is cry. Every time I look at him I cry.

Pointless post but just had to get it off my chest :(
 
I've just had to do exactly the same due to pregnancy. My youngster went on Wednesday. I know it's for the best as wouldn't be fair on him but I feel really lost without a horse to ride. Having ridden most days since I was 4 years old. I feel your pain :(
 
Selling is hard for anyone, but when you are pregnant and feeling emotional/tired/hormonal its worse. You also have the guilt of feeling resentful that you are having to give up your love whilst at the same time you are feeling happy and looking forwards to your baby. Chin up and have some ice cream and pickled onions.
 
Thanks everyone. It is hard but at least I can keep in touch and visit him. I am going to try and spend as much time as possible with him this weekend and if it stops raining I might have a little ride.

It's nice to know I am not the only one sparky! So sorry that you had to sell yours too.

I am not eating weird things yet magicmillbrook. I am just hungry from chips and crisps all the time. Think I am going to be massive and need a shire horse to ride afterwards!! No more ponies for me.

I am so worried that I am going to end up completely cut off from horses again now which is not what I want. I can't imagine him not being there anymore! X
