Tonight I made a dog collar....

Given that I am in no way, shape or form creative, I am rather pleased with it. Just a shame that I mis-measured and it's too small for my dog

I'm thinking it would also be possible to plait leather strips into this collar style too ...very nice work!

You could extend it, add some loops? Very pretty, my lot would make it filthy in about a minute!

You set the length before you start the pattern really so it can't be altered. Not a problem really as I can make another one easily enough. I've worked out where I went wrong with the measurements so I won't make that same mistake again!

That's very nice I've had a go at paracord wrist bracelets and I made a small monkey's paw keychain, I quite enjoyed it

If it's good strong paracord you can burn and seal the ends together and it makes a nice strong bond if you get it right. You can tell the strong proper stuff from the cheaper, weaker ones from the insides. The inner white strands will be thin and there will be a lot of them although I can't remember how many it's supposed to have when you burn the ends it will go clear and take a while to burn black. The cheaper ones with lower breaking strain have thicker, fewer inner strands and they burn black quickly and wont bond together as strongly.
