Well I had the farrier back again today to check on Maggie's foot. She's had her shoes off for a week now and no progress, she is still lame on her front nearside. As its her toe that slightly turns in I'm beginning to think its the onset of ringbone.
A vet mentioned she might be starting with it a few years ago but its never been an issue until now.
Its hardly obvious in a walk but in a trot its definitely there with her head bobbing along as well. I'm sooo fed up, I missed out on all last summer after she got kicked and was box rested for 3 months from end of May. And now it looks like I'll miss out again. Ringing the vets on monday if no improvement over weekend.
