Has anyone else's horses been feeling rather fresh recently?...

Mr T has been the last few days and I have to say it is really nice for me, usually he's such a plod but am really enjoying this fresh feeling.

Taking him for walk round the tracks and he is jig jogging a little, he comes back to my voice well though which too is a bonus, I still feel so safe on him :) :)
This little boy has really really improved my confidence and am so blessed to have been able to have him on loan with the view of buying him....... :) :D :D :D

Is it just the weather turning that is making them all a bit fresh?

I dont know what it is but 2 of my hoorses have gone weird recently, annie fan is being a nightmare to catch (she is not usually) and chap has gone a bit loopy. I dont know what it is, I think it might be the grass as it is sugary before winter? Not sure but mine def have too!

Mine have both been quite lively, my lil mare especially so yesterday but it must have done her good cos she went fab on our lesson!

Mine was very fresh in the week. On the second hack of him behaving like an idiot, we found a flat bit of grass and did 30 minutes of Hard Work. He has been nice and sensible since that.

Well I rode my friends mare out alone earlier, she is not used to solo hacking but she has been ok considering the last few times I have taken her out, today was different.
In retrospect I should not have ridden, we got round fine and home safe but with this vertigo dealing with a fresh horse was no fun. She was full of it, was a struggle to get her off the yard and just generally going, then some killer birds almost ate her!!:D

Yes most definitely - my usually quiet gelding has had a new lease of lively life. Had to take him for a gallop last week as he was so lively, have never been so fast and it was fun. He's been a little spooky too in the school, nearly caught me out on Friday morning doing a quick sideways manouvre. I wondered if it was the haylage, the feed or what? Cut the haylage down to half and half hay and cut the feed altogether for now, not that he has much anyway. Love to keep us guessing and on our toes dont they?

glad to hear its not just mine then..... boy o boy!!
They do like to keep us on our toes too lol, I am loving this new lease of freshness from my lad at the moment.... but can imagine those with already lively neddies will be having a tough time!!
