Feeling guilty, clipped horse living out

One of mine has been so hot with her winter coat that I had to bib clip her just to keep her comfortable, she has no rugs and out 24/7. My old girl used to live out with trace clip and medium rug (rambo pony wug) no problems. I think we tend fuss too much these days!! Just make sure there is plenty to eat :-)

My welsh x Arab had a hunter clip ?(all body off, legs on) about a month ago and he lives out. He's fine - currently in a mw with neck.
I have to keep him clipped as he gets so hot otherwise.

Just keep your horse warm with good rugs and he'll be fine.

Haha, to be quite honest, he had a huge look of relief on his face - what he doesn't know is that he now has his go faster stripes , and they will be put to use come rain or shine, starting tomorrow

I know I've done it for a few years now, but if he's wet, how long with a thermatex on till turnout rug?

Lots live out fully clipped at yard where I am (nearly all the horses live out and about half 10-12 - are clipped). Several of them are TB. My mare (TBX Shire) is out with a neck and shoulders clip up to half her head but has lived out all winter fully clipped for the past four or five years. They even stay out during the snow. Have thick hedges but no shelters and only grass to eat. Will bring mine in tomorrow for a bit longer to have a break from rain and some hay with her feed but she would much rather be out.
