Feeling guilty

Took Hazel for her fillings today almost cancelled as every one said it was a waste at her age. She owes me nothing so the money wasnt important. However when we arrived it became clear one of the teeth due to be filled was dead and had an abscess behind it. I am so pleased we went now but feel awful that she must have been in pain for some time. So 2 fillings and extraction done hopefully no more problems to come. She has always eaten well been happy ridden and has no quidding

Lucky Hazel, being owned by someone who doesn't see age as an excuse to economise.. How can looking after your horse properly ever be a "waste"?!

Thank you everyone feel much better this morning havnt been to see her yet but was fine late last night 2 weeks off ridden work but might go for a few walks to stop her getting stiff. She is the golden girl has lived with me longer than my kids so gets what she needs and mostly what she wants
