I have just been up the yard and taken all my horses hay away.No more feed until after his operation tommorrow(vets Instructions).I feel worse about removing his food than putting him through the surgery.Dont suppose I will get much sleep tonight .Really hope Im doing the right thing.
Either retire him at age 6 or go for hock fusion.No choice really just worried about the general anaesthetic.

If it's any consolation about the GA, I've seen quite a few horses go under and come around again fine. All ages, but one was 27 and another 29. And your horse is even better placed, being a youngster. Although I know that freak things can happen, and you won't stop worrying until they call you to say he's fine!
