I have decided to put my mare and gelding out on loan. My mare (who I adore) is off to her new loan home on Friday. It is the perfect home for her, and I am excited that she will be getting out and doing more than I have been able to do with her. However, I am so very upset that I won see her every day, hear her calling me when she hears the car, or standing for hours scratching the spit behind her ears that never fails to make her lips quiver with pleasure.
I have someone coming to see the boy on Wednesday and can't even begin to imagine how I'll cope once they are both gone.
Feeling so sad, even though I can reason it's the best thing for everyone.
