Has anyone else turned out their fully clipped horses in this p*ssing rain for the last 3 days? Feeling rather guilty as I sit at my desk and see how much its raining!!
My two do have coats on - nice thick Rambo ones - and yesterday I was worrying about them all day only to find them quite warm and dry beside a hedge. Fingers crossed they will be just as cheery and happy when I get them in later!!!
Whisk goes out every day whatever the weather for a few hours. He would be very grumpy if not. In saying that when I went to catch him today he was miles away. I called him expecting him to look up and the carry on grazing as he normally does but, no here he comes belting across the field towards me. I think it must be winter!! He is turned out in a heavy weight Chaskit rug.
Both of mine are fully clipped. Jig's not really bothered about turnout so depends on what the college decide to do as to whether he goes out or not in the rain - he went out today. Alisha would hate being in all day, much happier out in the field whatever the weather - she is out in a heavyweight and an underrug
