FEI bans trimming of whiskers for competition horses from 2021

i don't have welfare issues with castration, it's more my general teetering-on-the-edge-of-the-rabbithole about the lives of domesticated horses in general that it triggers :p I find neutered animals in general a weird concept, i understand all the arguments and if I had bred a colt this year I would have had it castrated because... *reasons* but it's just another example of man playing god over animals.
VERY VERY few colts are good enough to remain entire. If they are not of that quality, cut them. God gave man dominion over the animals (not saying at times man doesn't do a poor job at it). If you had seen my big yearling running the fence wanting to hurt something, or try to take my arm off when I groomed him, you would have second thoughts about wondering why a male would need "brain surgery".

About time and hope all the other national bodies follow suit. Agree pulling manes/tails needs to be banned too. Personally never seen the point of showing - bit like human beauty competitions which are equally fake, boring and pointless in my humble opinion.

(Allegedly our dressage superstars CD and CH take off all whiskers but I've never been close enough to their horses to ascertain whether it's true. Would surprise me as they turnout/hack/jump their horses to give them as much variation and natural 'horse' time as possible).
That's your opinion. I feel totally opposite about it. so there's that.

I paid to get the beast clipped once. His face, whiskers and inside of ears were done. He looked like a supermodel:D

When I do it myself it takes enough effort to make him look reasonable. God help the poor animal if I went for his ears:eek:

Thanks for that ? if you read my posts you'd see that I don't actually struggle to understand why a domesticated horse is easier to manage when castrated.

I just have a general undercurrent in my thoughts, about how we exploit horsesin ways that don't really benefit them at all. I don't think god has anything to do with that ?

Since you are misinterpreting the bible to support your opinion, rather than just owning it yourself, here is some reading for you: https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&s...FjAAegQIAxAC&usg=AOvVaw3gBQM3pjEftKQz_Q4BUw3G

You are stating an opinion here many do not believe that god have man dominion over the animals I take a more Darwinian approach .

Putting that aside , I don’t clip my horses whiskers just for context .
Clipping whiskers makes no sense
