Fell off in stinging nettles!

Ouch... I got off for a wee, holding horse, behind hedge, he rubbed my head, overbalanced me and backwards I went into a patch of nettles on bare bum. It tingled for days

Horses, they are so helpful aren’t they?!

oh I feel your pain. I had a section B stallion I rode as a kid. He would drop a shoulder in the same corner every time and dump me in the nettles. I swear he had a smile on his face the old bugger. Lulled you into a false sense of security and then bam on the floor you go.

As a good friend of mine says (at all times of the year) when he's clearing nettles bare-handed... "it's OK - they don't sting so bad at this time of year!"
Also, from experience, the more often you handle them, the less it hurts. Honestly!

Sudocrem or Eurax calms it down as I am always getting stung in my paddock
