Fellow EMS horse owners

Do your horse’s seem to suffer with weepy eyes? I’m just trying to work out if it’s related to ems somehow or whether my horse seems to have run of the mill allergies. He wears a full fly mask in the field but his eyes still run. They look slightly puffy(not to be confused with swollen orbits above the eyes, this is the area below and around his eyes) this is something else.

No, my EMS pony never has runny eyes but my ex laminitic does whenever he wears a fly mask.

My hay fever has flared up again this week.

My EMS Appy does have watery eyes, but she's got pink skin so very sensitive eyes in general.

Louis does he hasn't got ems but he has cushings but can get over weight easily in summer.

His get puffy at the bottom as well.

Yes, but I think it's more to do with a pollen allergy in his case

Interesting. It would seem that it sounds like it’s maybe more to do with pollen/allergies than ems. He has always had a bit of something, he wears a nose net when being ridden or he constantly scratches his face on his legs or tosses his head around. I used to give him Pollenx. He hasn’t actually beeen too bad for the last few years. Looks like I’ll need to try that again.
