Oh god... what is it about showjumpers having their hair waving around. Its not even as if they plait it either. This is a personal hatred of mine... hairnets look so much smarter. *rant over*
I don't mind the hair down at all for showjumping - it isn't the showing arena. Admittedly hairnets look far smarter - but no points for appearance at Hickstead lol
yea there was a lady at norfolk show... who had 2 plaits in with pink ribbons... the ribbons fell out as she went round... i know if that was my mare she would of freaked out!!!!
yes, for god's sake give the girls a hairnet!
i heard of someone with a long ponytail who fell off and the horse trod on it and nearly scalped her.
if that isn't an incentive to tuck it all away, i don't know what is.
There was a rule that came in whilst i was a junior that your hair wasnt allowed to touch your shoulders and if it was too long then one plait was allowed. Dunno if this still exists in the rule book?
I mostly showjump and I dont wear a hairnet and I have very long hair... I also dont plait my horse up! I wear a hairnet for XC though, more for safety as I absolutely hate the things!
