If the weather ever dries out I’ll be getting my track up.
My little fenceman energiser has given up the ghost but it was never very powerful anyway.
I have a pony who thinks going through electric fencing is fun so I need as heavy duty as I can get that’s not mains powered without bankrupting myself.
Any suggestions please?

Gallagher S20 solar powered ones. Other S ratings are available depending on distance you wish to have electrified.

I was going to recommend the same. If you get the tape setup right (good quality tape, not accidentally earthing itself) I can tell you it definitely kicks! And except in the depths of winter they just run themselves.

Another here to recommend the Gallagher S20 solar powered one!

Our field is a long way from the electric source at our yard so barely any kick in it once you get to my field. I was sick of mine escaping (He is highly respectful of decent electric fencing but as soon as it isn't strong enough he's out to find the best grass - typical native). YO refused to do anything so I bit my tongue and just rigged up a totally separate circuit inside my own field with a Gallagher S20 on it. Problem instantly solved and never had a problem since - this was last summer we set it up. Only on the very foggiest of days will it run low but as soon as normal daylight again you're back in business.

My fiance can vouch that it certainly has a kick to it too - and I can back this up by the scream he let out 🤣
