Fernhill Sport Horses......?

Hi I worked for carol Gee for a bit last year she has a fab yard and the horses are treated like kings/queens. She finds horses for allsorts of people not just international eventers!! She is very good at matching people with horses and most budgets.
Its defo not a normal dealing yard!!
I have worked for olympic eventers both side of irish sea and can say that i have never heard a negative comment about Fernhill horses.

She has some lovely horses. But also a lot of very average ones (a huge number of horses pass through that yard!). If you don't mind paying well over the odds for a horse then it's worth a look, but there are plenty of yards in Ireland where you'll get the same quality of horse for a lot less cash :)

I bought one from her last year and it was a really really good experience. Maybe, maybe could have got a 'bargain' somewhere else, if I'd kept looking but what I got suits me down to the ground. He's just wonderful, now 6, 16.2hh gelding, IDxKWPN, exactly what I want and more. I reckon I got a really good deal as the experience with Carol was superb. I felt she was completely honest with me, didn't oversell him, told me exactly what he'd done and why. Couldn't be better started or handled. I haven't discovered any 'secrets' about him in the 6 months I've had him, everything is exactly as I was told. She put one of the pony event riders on him so I could see him being ridden by someone who wouldn't "place" him for s/js etc, and he - the rider not the horse !! tore around the c/c course, with Carol saying I wish he wouldn't do that, he's not a pony. Then I got up and rode him and he behaved beautifully. Can't say enough of my experience really.

I looked at a ton of horses and ended up not believing a word anyone told me. I wanted to call the ISPCA more times than think of getting out my cheque book.
