Ive just started fertilizing my field (by hand with a spreader) in halves so I can keep the horses off it. Google says after rain they can go back on, others say 10 days. Can anyone advise please? Its 20:10:10 stuff if that makes any difference

Id leave them off
10-14 days depending on amount of rain you have
Nitrogen makes the grass shoot which isn’t good for horses
A low nitrogen fertiliser would be good in future ☺️

Fields not had anything done to it (bar spot weed killer) in the 12 years Ive had it so I figured it needed a really good boost. We dont have much land so really need the grass to grow a bit to be honest.

Potassium will still make your grass grow without the nitrogen it just won’t be lush
