Any one know if there is a fertilizer that can go on a fiels / grass, that is safe for horses n sheep to go back out on to? moste of them i know are 2 weeks & a bit of rain B4 they can go back on to the same grass. any thoughts please x

I really recomend a book which i have refered to many times. It's called Managing Grass For Horses - The Responsible Owner's Guide by Elizabeth O'Beirne-Ranelagh. It literally covers everything in there about pest control, weed conrol, the best types of grass, what needs to be done at what point in the year as far as rolling etc is concerned to get the best out of the land and also the types of fertilzer. Fantastic book!!

There's one called Suregrow which i think is ok for horses to go straight back on, not sure about sheep

As said its best to read up, there isnt many ferts that can be spread and you can put livestock/horses straight back onto, a few have here but thats because they havnt got any other fields spare to use, most contractors will be using straight Nitrate fert which is a deffo no no for horses and livestock unless a few weeks and some rain has past.
