Going hunting this week and have only been a few times before, a couple of years ago,
I'm 15, would it be better to wear a coloured stock with my tweed or PC tie? I prefer my stock but I'm sure I've been told it is incorrect to wear a stock at a certain age, but could be completely wrong! I'll wear my green tweed, stock or tie, white shirt, beige jods, brown leather boots and gaiters and would it be better to wear my Charles Owen velvet hat or a skull cap with velvet cover?
Am going to stay at the back with my friend and her mum, any other tips?
Thanks in advance and sorry for the numpty questions!!

There are lots of posts on here if you search giving advice to people starting off

You'll be fine with either a coloured stock or PC tie - I would wear a skull cap with a velvet cover as it's cheaper to replace a cover than a hatif you get caught by a branch which tears the velvet!

Make sure you keep your horse/pony's head to face hounds - you will be in big trouble if a hound gets kicked

The main thing would be to follow the field master & do what you're told - watch out for horses with ribbons in their tails.

If your horse is inexperienced, put a green ribbon in his tail to warn others.

I'm sure others will give you more pointers but these are the first that come to mind!

Hello, shirt and tie and maybe the skull cap for Autumn hunting, the rest sounds grand. Hope you have a fab time reports please.

I will try and report back! ;) Hopefully pony will have his sensible head on so I will be in one piece when I post :D I joke, he is very good when out, just not so much when he gets back, which is a now work in progress!
