And only 10 months. The last two have been over a year! Still, at least it dhould be done and dusted before we have our first days shooting at home, so she can come to lunch. :)
Pen has got a cut paw and I thought she was bleeding everywhere through her bandage, then realised there was blood where Pen hadn't been.
Pic because she is lovely.

I always thought bigger dogs a year and smaller less, but it does show it happens whenm they are ready. Ffee is still a big baby, all gawky, but I wonder if she won't grow much more (upwards) if she is sexually mature?
Tawny was 18 months, but she never did have time for all that girly stuff.

I honestly can’t remember how much more Luna grew. She is quite a petite dog compared to lots of huskies, although within breed standard. She hovers around the 18kg mark. She definitely muscled up a lot more though.

Juno was about 9/10 months when she had her first, then her second was 6 months later. Trying to decide whether to have her spayed or not, we were planning to and have booked it in, but there's evidence that it can make a fear-aggressive dog worse, so not sure what to do.

I have heard that as well, but I thought it applied more to dogs? Not sure.
Ffee is funny at the moment, she has gone even softer than usual and is making nests everywhere.

My last lurcher was 22 months for her first season and I had to reduce exercise and increase food (old lurcher man's trick) to bring her in, my tiny little collie bitch was 10 months.
I had a mini schnauzer at dog training once which I noticed in season, she was 16 weeks old at the time.

Spot was unspayed when we got her and was having phantom pregnancies, as soon as she was officially handed over to us we had her spayed, during the phantom pregnancies she would gather all her toys into her bed and get very possessive over some of them. It was quite a sad thing to see as she was distressed that they were not responding to her touch 💔

That would be sad. I remember my mum's pcking up bitch having phantoms every time,s he was spayed (when it wasn't a routine op) as she made herself so run down and got mastitis.

Aww bless her. I did some research and it does look like it applies to bitches as well as dogs, so I feel very torn.
