Went to give missy her hard feed earlier on this evening and seen that missys near hind hock ( inside of the hock ) was huge with about an inch gash .

Looks like castlewellan is cancelled for her on saturday unless it goes down and cut cleans up , shes not lame but the swelling is massive.
Got 2 bute into her to try and get the swelling down, cold hosed her and put some dermagel on , Shes now in the stable the night not happy but what can you do .

Worried that an infection will set in

Was looking forward to castlewellan too grrr Well cant wrap them up in cotton wool

how annoying... i know how bad it is my hore and i had to retire during a dressage test in an ODE a few weeks ago due to a pulled hamstring. fingers cross she make makes a fast recovery.

Oh no, it definatly must be in the air. Barons is exactly the same but unfortunatly infection has set in his
