hello all
I have been looking at fibre mash feeds - I have not fed these before and interested in other opinions. I usually feed sugar beet , micronised linseed and soaked pony nuts to my 29 year old over winter plus grazing and horsehage ( coughs on hay) but would like to increase his fibre in winter. Teeth are good for his age. The younger one lives well on grass & hay but would like him to have something for his vits - currently mixed with a handful of sugar beet
I do let them loose weight over winter as nature intended (they are natives) so they have expansion room come the spring

Fed Allen & Pagel fastfibre for years. Horses always love it. Soaks up in a minute with warm water, couple of mins if cold. Smells delish. Think it contains broad range of vits and mins and probiotics etc and has linseed in it.
Supposed to be ok for lamintics. Simple and not expensive, and has the advantage of getting hydration into them if the conditions are freezing. I just feed a bucket each day in winter along with hay and some grazing. There are other similar products, but I haven't tried any as i've always been happy with fastfibre. HAS to be fed soaked, as you probably know.

I alternate Fast Fibre with Keyflow Pink Mash, as horse gets bored of just Pink Mash. Keyflow also do a veteran mash, they sent me a sample, the oldie loved it, but sadly was a bit over budget!
